How and Why to Donate to the Colorado Oldtime Fiddlers Association
The Colorado Oldtime Fiddlers’ Organization (COTFA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, based in Denver, Colorado. Your support provides us with a large portion of our operating budget to support the Colorado Fiddle Championships held in January, other fiddle contests across Colorado, fiddle & guitar workshops and square dances. COTFA’s funding comes from our fundraising campaign through the Colorado Gives program, corporate sponsorships, individual donations and in-kind donations. Our board members and officers are unpaid volunteers. COTFA is dedicated to perpetuating oldtime fiddling.
Fiddle tunes have been passed down through the years from generation to generation since before the Civil War. Fiddlers and guitarists from all ages come together to share tunes, jam, listen, learn, and to compete. They share a love for this art form known as oldtime fiddling. Preservation of this American art form is dependent on donations to fund fiddle contests, square dances, workshops, jam sessions and community outreach programs. This music brings enjoyment and entertainment to fiddlers, musicians and audiences alike.
Your financial support of the Colorado Oldtime Fiddlers’ Association is an investment in the future of this art form in your community and ensures preservation of the past.
Please consider making a tax deductible contribution to the Colorado Oldtime Fiddlers’ Association today. Your donation will help to preserve this great American musical art form.
