Alita Weisgerber

Alita Weisgerber is a 5th generation fiddle player with Missouri roots that run deep, and it shows in her playing.  She spent her childhood traveling to fiddle contests and conventions with her family, and heard her father play the fiddle daily.  She learned to play the fiddle  at the age of 10, and  has developed her playing to have a touch all her own.

Alita has won the Missouri State Championship multiple times, Mid-America Championship 3 times, and  the Gone to Texas Fiddler’s Frolics, as well as many other contests around the country.  She has also served on the judging panel at many contests nation wide including the Colorado Fiddle Championships, Mid- America Championships, and the  Missouri, Washington, and Texas State Championships.

Traveling around the country, Alita continues to attend fiddle contests, festivals, and jam sessions.  She also enjoys teaching the fiddle and playing the guitar.
