Anthony began playing rhythm guitar around age 13 at contests across the state of Texas. Over the years 
he was influenced by the styles of Steve Williams, Bobby Christman and many other Texas greats. During the last few decades Anthony has held the many titles including multiple time Texas State Accompanist Champion, Grand Masters Accompanist Champion as well as the National Favorite Accompanist. In 2007 he was inducted to the Texas Fiddlers Hall Of Fame. His Rhythm style, love of the music and willingness to accompany all fiddlers keeps him busy at most prominent contests around the country.
