COTFA President – Erin Haas
Erin Haas (formally Beimford or as her fiddle friends call her, Beimy) has been playing fiddle since she was six years old.
A Denver native and proud CU Buff, she spent some time living in Austin and Houston, Texas after college before moving home to Colorado in 2015. In 2019, Erin took the reigns as the President of the Colorado Old Time Fiddlers’ Association, dedicating herself to serving as an ambassador of this style of fiddling by introducing COTFA to the numerous fiddle players and musicians in Colorado’s vibrant bluegrass and live music community.
The CFC is perfect combination of Erin’s three greatest life passions: fiddle contests, event planning and bringing people together.
In 2024, she also returned as a contestant, social media director and assistant emcee. When she isn’t working as a Senior Events Manager at Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation, Beimy spends most of her free time going to concerts, festivals and of course fiddle contests with her husband, Chris and son Jimmy!
