Scholarship and Grants

The Denice Carter Scholarship program was established in January of 2011 as a means of providing tuition and instrument scholarships for children in need in the Denver metro area.  The award program is still in its infancy, but the concept has been fermenting for many years.

The COTFA Board of Directors will evaluate an applicant’s financial and educational needs, and provide a stipend from the Denice Carter Scholarship Fund for a year of private lessons with a violin teacher of the student’s choosing.  The scholarship award does not necessarily need to be used for fiddle lessons; any genre of violin music is encouraged.

If you are interested in applying for a tuition or instrument scholarship, please contact the Board of Directors.
