Ages I teach: 6 and up
Method: My primary focus is to help my students develop a lifelong love of music and fiddling.
I enjoy contest fiddling, but do not believe that it is the end-all be-all of fiddling. I help my students become strong, grounded musicians, with a strong basis in the fundamentals.
I teach the melody of the fiddle tune before getting into variations, and I teach music theory from a practical standpoint.
Years Teaching: 25 years
Fiddling style/styles: Oldtime / Contest Style / Celtic / Texas Style / Swing / Blues
